Needle in the Groove

Saturns day at Shea stadium 55 years ago. ok, listen up.  i’m down, baby i’m down, down on the ground, as the Beatles sang to the crowd, hard to believe it though, they seemed to be having fun at Shea that day. imagine those little plastic disks revolving with a Needle in the Groove at 45 rpms drawing 55,000 frantic worshipers together in a stadium, jesus had trouble on his hands to put it mildly, wild teenage lust meets the transistor radio. the Fabs belted it out like the pros they were. astonishing work by a four piece rock and roll band from liverpool england. back at you america,  how’s this for a revolution. i was 14 now i’m well past 64. the birthday bottle of wine is a dry red. Paul and Ringo are still around as old pals keeping it going like a fine Quanta Bud smiling into the sunset. they sure delivered the goods. yup, all things must pass. thanks for everything.
