Time is Up

It’s what we’ve all been waiting for • the grand finale • the last gasp • pop goes the weasel

bon voyage • arrivaderci • bottoms up • hit the road jack • off you go bizzaro superman

canceled for poor ratings. we’re not going to take it anymore • goddammit.
The national nightmare is almost over • guess who’s woke now • come to slay the beast

just like in the movies • thank you Taylor.
and all us good folks who knew all along the beast is going for a smack down.

America tolerates a lot because it’s a big place.
no surprise we fight all the time • people here stake out their territory

and some will blow you away for whatever reason is worming it’s way through their heads. Anything goes pretty much • according the free press • which we have plenty of

because we have a bill of rights. money can buy it but you don’t have to watch or read or scroll it.

We volunteer for our righteous causes and beliefs • reasonable and insane alike

if you’re lucky you can tell the difference.

I admit I’m an artist zealot • my kids call me a bohemian anarchist
as such I’ll follow my crazy • sometimes it pays off • I’m not sure for what.

I don’t sell much or try to • mostly keep it in the family • I live in my own time capsule.

yet being an artist has provided me with a unique life and point of view.

I call it making it up as I go along • as we all do.
Some things we hold more dear than others • for example • most of us are tight with our family even though we may disagree all the time • we usually get over it.

which is how I feel about this election. Time to get over it.

the apprentice is going to be fired at long last on it’s own terms playing out on TV.

It’s time to smile at the world as Kamala is doing • put these cruel men where they belong

on a leash or prison.
It’s a nice planet we have here • out in the middle of an infinite universe
as we now can witness with our Jimi Webb Space Telescope eyes.

Our planet will heal itself if we let it • I imagine most of us prefer a healthy world.

We don’t have to choke ourselves to death on hydrocarbon gasses if we don’t want to.

it’s a choice we make at the pump to get around town.

I believe Kamala is sincere about choosing to do something about it • obstacles and all.
this will be my 14th presidential election. It hasn’t always worked out as I had hoped.

I think this time it will. It feels like the universe wants a chalice instead of a blade.

Gaia wants a break • clean things up • breath of fresh air • give the water back to the fish.
maybe be a little more native american • like representative Mary Pertola in Alaska.

As an artist I get to wander all over the place • bring back what I see. It’s a peaceful existence.

I’d like to keep it that way. smiling seems like a peaceful gesture • I will vote for the smile.
Kamala will be the first a.eye president • I trust her judgement.
